Elford Mayixale is the Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at Burnstone Mine. Mr. Mayixale has 32 years of mining experience, focusing on Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Training & Development, Housing & Accommodation, Local Economic Development, Social & Labour Plans, Sport & Recreation and Employee Wellness. Prior to joining Great Basin Gold he worked for Harmony Gold as Human Resources Leader.

Mr. Mayixale holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree (BBA) and International Diploma in Teaching and Education. He also holds a Human Resources Management Diploma with UNISA, Business Administration, Project Management and Leadership Development Diplomas from the University of the Witwatersrand and an Executive Human Resources Diploma from Stellenbosch.  He is a qualified Assessor, Moderator and Verifier and is registered with the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA).
